Yes! If you are a foster parent and it is at all possible, I would make it a priority to attend court. Most judges allow foster parents to add input when requested. You also find out valuable information about what is going on in the case, how reunification efforts are going, whether anything has changed with visitations, any case plan changes, any judge ordered services, etc. If you have not met the birth parents, this is also a good opportunity to connect with them. You can contact the GAL or case manager to find out the next court date if you are unsure of when the next hearing is.
