Emerging Hope – never too old for a forever family

Did you know that there are kids currently in 2nd grade at risk for aging out of foster care? Stats show that kids 7 and older are much more challenging to find forever families for. That means that there are kids that spend more than a decade living in foster care. No matter how hard I try, I have not been able to justify that statement. I cannot overlook it. I cannot turn away from it. No forever family. No one to turn to in times of uncertainty, sadness, incredible joy…This is the reality for HUNDREDS of kids every year. But what if we as a community could be involved in changing that? What if we could join together to bring hope to these kids?

On November 18th at Butterfly Wonderland, Foster Arizona is asking the community to join us for a night devoted to exactly that, a night for Emerging Hope!  Together we will become more educated on the reality for kids currently in the foster care system. We will hear stories of hope and triumph and will learn how everyone can be empowered to make a difference. We hope you will join us as we hear from incredible speakers, including Judge James Beene, and premiere Foster Arizona’s short film, “Lucky Ones” based off of the artwork of a young woman who aged out of foster care earlier this year.

Tickets for Emerging Hope can be purchased for $10 at https://fosterarizona.org/events-page/ and all of the night’s proceeds will go to Foster Arizona’s video efforts to help kids find forever homes. Together we be a part of changing the story for Arizona’s children.

November 18th, 6:30 p.m. at Butterfly Wonderland. We hope to see you there!
