Karin began serving on Foster Arizona’s board in 2016. As a foster/adoptive parent for over 20 years, Karin knows the struggles kids in foster care face first hand. Her huge heart for children is easy to see in her family. Between her grown children, adopted younger children, and grandchildren, Karin and her husband, Brad, spend their days with both their hands and hearts full. Karin believes in order to make a difference in this world you have to pour into the next generation. Kids in foster care just need a chance. They need someone to believe in them but most importantly, her biological children needed to see that the world does not revolve around them; there is more to life than them. Karin would love for every child to know they are loved for who they are not for what they have done. She says, “I want them to belong and grow in a loving home but most importantly I want children to know that they can make a difference in this world, that they have a purpose all their own to love and care for others.”
