There are many different support groups you can get involved in. Personally, I have found it incredibly valuable to find support from others who are going through similar experiences. We are able to talk about tools and resources that have made a difference for our children and our families, feel like there are others who have been where we are, and the best groups I have been in have also been able to find humor in the midst of the struggles. Here are some places you can look to find support groups. Although this is not a comprehensive list, this is a great place to start.

If you are looking for support groups for your child or teen, many counseling offices provide specific support groups or, if your child is enrolled in behavioral health services, you can reach out to your case manager and ask what is available in the specific area of need.
