Did you know that Child Crisis Arizona, a local nonprofit whose vision is safe kids and strong families, offers no-cost resources for families in the community through different parenting classes, workshops, children’s playgroups, support groups and family events? These programs are held in Phoenix, Mesa and throughout the community. Child Crisis Arizona strives to build safe, stable and strong families through a Family Resource Model.
The agency assists parents and caregivers in dealing with life’s stressors, by providing services that promote learning and development of parenting skills in a non-judgmental environment. All programs and services promote evidence-based protective factors proven to strengthen parent/child relationships and help families thrive. They include:

- Children’s Social/Emotional Development
- Concrete Support
Since the agency’s recent merger, it has been able to expand its class offerings into Phoenix, in Spanish, and in partnership with local community organizations such as Goodwill.
Beginning June 1, Child Crisis Arizona will bring its renowned parenting workshops to Goodwill Career Centers in Chandler and Peoria giving more families in the community an opportunity to improve their parenting skills.

“We owe it to our children to learn as much as we can to be the best possible parents,” Taj says. Child Crisis Arizona adds to a parent’s toolbox information and techniques that have been proven successful through Family Resource Model. These classes are open to everyone and when used properly, have the ability to positively impact the entire family.
All class attendees will also be offered free pizza and refreshments and a new children’s book.
