Question: Can a child in foster care get their hair cut?

Most of the time…If a child comes into foster care with a certain haircut, the out of home provider is able to maintain that hair style. If a child is looking to have a different haircut, the out of home provider would ask the case manager for permission and the case manager would reach out to the birth parents for permission. Kids that come into foster care that are a part of the Native American community need special permissions to have a haircut.
