Question: What are ways I can give to kids in foster care this season?

There are many ways to impact kids in foster care during the holidays. Here are some ideas:

  1. You can buy Christmas gifts, donate new or gently used clothing, books, shoes, etc. Here are some places to give to:
    • Helen’s Hope Chest – http://www.mesaunitedway.org/helens-hope-chest/
    • Arizona Helping Hands – http://www.azhelpinghands.org/
    • Jose’s Closet – http://www.josescloset.org/
    • ASA Now – http://www.asanow.org/
    • Three Precious Miracles – http://www.threepreciousmiracles.com/
    • http://www.arizonadreamcenter.org/
  2.  You can give the gift of an experience. Here are some options
    • Foster Arizona – $20 provides 1 child the opportunity to have a day of fun at the Science Center on January 6. https://www.youcaring.com/arizonakidsingrouphomefostercare-1033433
    • Arizona Friends of Foster – https://www.affcf.org/
  3. You can volunteer to help.
    • Foster Arizona needs 60 hosts to spend the day with kids at the Science Center January 6, 2018. Sign up here! www.SignUpGenius.com/go/4090849A8AF2FA3FF2-oneticket
    • Any of the above organizations are always looking for volunteers especially during the holiday season when the need is greater.
  4. If there is a kinship, birth family, young adult that has aged out, or foster family in your circle, you can also choose to directly impact them. Connecting with people in this way makes a huge difference!
