Question: What is the biggest need in foster care?

There are several BIG needs in foster care but one of the largest needs are foster parents who are willing to take in sibling groups and older kids. Currently, there are almost 2,600 kids in group homes that range in age from little tikes to older teens. There is a desire to keep siblings together so that they can continue to have daily connections with their brothers and sisters. Brothers and sisters continue to be the longest connection any of us have in our lives and kids in foster care have the same desire to stay together whenever possible. Here is a recent article about this issue: Link.
