Question: Why are some kids able to be filmed in foster care? I thought kids were not allowed to have their pictures taken while in foster care.

When you see kids on Wednesday’s Child, Arizona Heart Gallery, in our Meet the Kids videos, or through another entity related to Arizona or another state’s foster care system, you are seeing kids who are under special recruitment efforts to help find them a forever family. This means media rights have been granted specifically to help aid in their case manager’s efforts to find them forever families. Because there are fewer families looking to adopt older kids, you will see more older kids in adoptable kid videos and pictures. If you have considered adopting an older child, I encourage you to take the first step and find out more. There are so many wonderful kids who just need a family to call their own. You can find out more about taking a first step here.
